Description:  Here is the first of three successive original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken at the East Altoona Roundhouse in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Prominent here is an unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad "M" Class (4-8-2) "Mountain" locomotive, in line for after-run service in the Roundhouse. Partly visible at the right is PRR engine #6159, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during January of 1944 and retired in February of 1960 after just 16 years of revenue service.
