PRR 2039, A-3A, 1927         
Here is a photo via Harold K. Vollrath that was taken in the Meadows Yards near Kearny, New Jersey, in May of 1927. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2039, an A-3A (0-4-0T) tank switcher built in the Altoona Machine Shops during October of 1902 and retired in June of 1927 after 25 years of faithful service. Note that this tank switcher is coupled to a tender! Williams Collection.
