Veteran Signals on the Joe
Title:  Veteran Signals on the Joe
Description:  A new BNSF ES44ACH flies past the classic BN-era signal tower just west of Parkville on a sunny March afternoon. These signals were put up to replace aging searchlights about half a century ago and still continue to guard the Joe even after BNSFs recent purgings of the classic signals on this line and many others. No searchlights on this stretch of trackage survived into the present, but some examples of these BN signals can still be found in BNSFs coal country.
