Title:
PRR 2-10-2 #9856 - Pennsylvania RR
Description:
Although the number 9856 was worn by an FP7A unit later, the original number belonged to this 1919 Alco built brute. Alco delivered 18 more to the PRR that same year. These locomotives had 62" diameter drivers, 30" x 32" cylinders, a 215 psi boiler pressure, they exerted 84,890 pounds of tractive effort and each weighed 435,000 pounds. E. Miller gets the photo credit. The date is approximate.
